Nan Rothwell's Online Pottery Store

My pots are made to be used; they are all microwave and dishwasher safe. Because I fire in three different kilns, my work varies widely in color and texture. So instead of representing multiples of the same item, the pot you see in the photo is the one for sale. Many of my pots vary in color from side to side. By clicking on each pot's photo, you can see a different view or close-up detail. To learn more about me and pots, please visit my Homepage.

Blue porcelain bowl (0508-003)
$70.00
Porcelain sprayed with slips made from the clay body and added colors can develop a lustrous depth of field. This bowl caught an especially lucky coating of salt that varies from soft to bright blue. 5" x 8"

This dark brown lamp with ash on the shoulder was fired in Kevin Crowe's kiln. It's shiny on one side and matte on the other. 15.5" top of hardware, 22" top of harp x 6.5" wide

1208-028_stoneware-lamp.jpg
Stoneware lamp (1208-028)

1208-029_stoneware-lamp.jpg
Stoneware lamp (1208-029)
$118.00
This small round lamp ranges in color from gold to red, a color range I think of as Southwestern. 11.5" top of hardware, 16.5" top of harp x 6" wide

0508-002_citrus_juicer.JPG
Citrus juicer (0508-002)
$36.00
I started making citrus juicers recently when a student broke hers and asked how to make a replacement. They're fun to make, and fun to glaze, as the sharp edges create interesting breaks in the glaze. 3" x 6"

0508-001_bird_feeder.JPG
Bird feeder (0508-001)
$84.00
I made this pot as a tray for bird seed, but it works equally well as a tall platter for food. The pedestal base is textured right after throwing, using a wiggle wire. 5" x 10.5"

1107-004_salt_vase.jpg
Salt vase (1107-004)
$72.00
The color variation on this large salt glazed vase results from my spraying it with salt slips when it is still leather hard. I then raw glaze the inside, let it dry, and apply salt-resistant wadding. 12" tall x 3" wide.
